Mach 5 Waterslide

Wet n Wild, Gold Coast

In October 2020, Abyss Demolition commenced the demolition of the retired Mach 5 Water Slide at Wet n Wild theme park on the Gold Coast.

The Project employed cutting, cranes, and conventional mechanical demoition by excavators, to make way for their newest water slide.

Key aspects

• Collaboration with engineers and crane operators to remove large sections of the slide and the structure by crane
• Recycling of over 90% of the project material, including fibreglass slide sections
• Mechanical demolition of plant room, including large plant components
