Demolition of a multi story apartment building on The Esplanade Surfers Paradise. Similar to our other high rise projects, a full strip out was conducted first, while containment scaffold is erected. The strip out removes all general waste, so that mechanical demolition with the excavator maximises recycling of materials like concrete and steel, that would otherwise be too hard to separate by excavator within the constrains of a small site (the top layer of the building itself).
A second excavator waits on the ground level, for material to be pushed down the lift shaft, which is then loaded in to trucks and removed from site.
The building is demolished from top to bottom followed by remova, of the ground slab and footings.
