This project involved the demolition of the existing phosphoric acid double cell cooling towers located within the IPL Phosphate Hill facility. Abyss Demolition were engaged to safely deconstruct and remove the structures with precision and care, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding plant operations. Comprehensive environmental and safety controls were implemented to manage dust, sediment, and waste recycling. The works were completed under strict compliance with ISO-certified safety and environmental management systems.

Site Works

• Sequential top-down mechanical demolition of both cooling tower cells using specialised excavators.
