Chinderah Concrete Plant Demolition with cranes

Chinderah, New South Wales

Concrete Plant Demolition

Abyss was contracted to perform the Concrete Plant Demolition at a batching site in Chinderah, at the end of the tenant’s lease. The site was handed back to the owners clean and ready for new development.

The demolition works included removal of over 8000m2 of concrete hardstand slabs and footings, along with carports and underground septic tanks.

The works also included the removal of the batching plant itself, which required cranes to safely lower the silo’s, conveyor belts and ancillary equipment down to ground level. Large equipment was loaded directly on to trucks to be transported from site to metal recyclers. The ability to remove large pieces at once increased site productivity, reduced costs, and maximised the recycled value of the materials.

Three modular toilet blocks/offices were also salvaged as part of the works, with the cranes assisting with these lifts as well.
