The works also included the removal of the batching plant itself, which required cranes to safely lower the silo’s, conveyor belts and ancillary equipment down to ground level. Large equipment was loaded directly on to trucks to be transported from site to metal recyclers. The ability to remove large pieces at once increased site productivity, reduced costs, and maximised the recycled value of the materials.
Three modular toilet blocks/offices were also salvaged as part of the works, with the cranes assisting with these lifts as well.
